Last Sunday, we celebrated the Dragon Boat Festival and Father’s Day in advance. We chanted for our fathers and received a compassionate energy blessing to help resist the five poisons, eliminate disasters, and ward off evil.
We wrote blessing cards for our fathers and placed them on the activity wall, so that all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas can watch over our wishes.
The vegetarian barbecue kicked off with delicious aromas filling the air. Everyone enjoyed barbecue, rice dumplings(zongzi), and stir-fried noodles while chatting and having a great time.
The zongzi came in both sweet and savory flavors, each one made with love by our fellow members.
The host led everyone in fun group games, and there was an exciting lucky draw. The winners were all smiles, happily taking home auspicious prizes.
